Biochar is recognized for its potential to improve soil structure and reduce erosion, yet its efficacy varies significantly based on production parameters. This study investigates the interaction between specific biochar feedstocks and application rates to determine optimal erosion control in diverse agricultural environments.
Optimizing Predictive Models for Soil Matric Potential Data Imputation in Precision Irrigation Systems
This study evaluates machine learning algorithms to address missing data in soil matric potential measurements for precision irrigation. It identifies the Extreme Learning Machine as a highly effective tool for maintaining irrigation accuracy despite sensor data gaps.
Mapping Soil Carbon Saturation Thresholds Across Diverse Soil Types and Climatic Conditions
Soil health improvements through regenerative practices may lead to carbon saturation, potentially altering microbial decomposition rates. This study investigates the variability of the SOC/Clay ratio threshold across different environmental contexts to refine soil management strategies.
Advancing Integrated Pest Management through Multi-Model Spatial Analysis of Nematode Community Dynamics
Effective biological pest control relies on understanding the spatial and temporal distribution of beneficial nematodes. This research evaluates the integration of multiple statistical models and molecular techniques to improve the accuracy of nematode sampling and pest management plans.
Integrating Pollinator Diversity Metrics into Rangeland Management Strategies for Sustainable Livestock Production Systems
This research synthesizes long-term data on pollinator diversity in relation to rangeland management practices in North Dakota. It highlights the complex relationship between grazing regimes, floral resources, and pollinator conservation.
Evaluating Long-term Socio-Economic Impacts of Agroforestry Adoption on Smallholder Livelihood Resilience
Agroforestry is often promoted for sustainability, yet its long-term impact on smallholder livelihoods remains complex. This study evaluates the comparative socio-economic outcomes of agroforestry versus conventional practices in Eastern Ethiopia.
Establishing Cooperative Risk-Sharing Mechanisms for Sustainable Deep-Sea Aquaculture Development and Growth
Deep-sea aquaculture offers a solution to the saturation of coastal fisheries but faces significant economic and risk-related barriers. This research analyzes how cooperative mechanisms between enterprises and service organizations can optimize risk-sharing and promote industry maturity.
Addressing Interoperability and Regulatory Challenges for Distributed Ledger Technology in Global Food Supply Chains
This review analyzes the application of DLT and IoT in food supply chains to enhance transparency and traceability. It identifies critical barriers such as standardization and high implementation costs that hinder widespread adoption.
Designing Business Model Innovations to Enhance Digital Agriculture Adoption Among Smallholder Farmers
Digital agriculture holds promise for smallholders, but adoption is hindered by infrastructure and business model gaps. This study investigates innovative business models that align digital service delivery with the economic realities of smallholder farmers.
Integrating Urban Agriculture into Municipal Zoning for Enhanced Food Security and Resilience
Urban agriculture is often overlooked in formal city planning despite its potential to mitigate food deserts and unemployment. This research explores how specific zoning and land-use policies can institutionalize urban agriculture to improve food security in rapidly growing urban centers.
Optimizing Biostimulant Application for Drought Stress Mitigation in Solanum lycopersicum Seedling Development
This research investigates the efficacy of plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) biostimulants in enhancing physiological resilience of tomato seedlings under water-deficit conditions.
Incorporating Indigenous Agricultural Knowledge into Formal Climate Change Adaptation Policies and Strategies
Indigenous knowledge is often effective for climate adaptation but lacks formal recognition in government policy frameworks. This study examines how socio-psychological models can be used to validate this knowledge and facilitate its integration into local climate action plans.
Evaluating Economic Viability of Non-Commodity Seed Systems for Small-Scale Sustainable Agricultural Producers
This study examines the tension between commodity seed reliance and the preservation of non-commodity values in US farmer seed systems. It advocates for supporting alternative structures that protect seed diversity and social equity.
